Steps

1. Open Answer Keys

Navigate to Answer Keys from the app sidebar.

2. Choose a preset or create custom

Select an admin preset (e.g. JNVST) or create a new key for your booklet codes. In CheckOMR (By Navodaya Study), answer keys define correct responses per booklet (A, B, C, D). You can pick a global preset or enter custom keys for your exam.

3. Enter responses per booklet code

For each booklet code (A, B, C, D), enter the correct option for every question.

4. Save and attach to your batch

Save the key and attach it when creating your next batch. All booklet codes are evaluated together in one run.

Before you start

  • Your master answer key — one column per booklet code, with the correct option for every question.
  • Sign in and open the dashboard.

Steps

2. Choose a preset or create custom

Select an admin preset (e.g. JNVST) or create a new key for your booklet codes. Presets are ready-made keys for common exams — if your test matches one, you are done in one click.

3. Enter responses per booklet code

For each booklet code (A, B, C, D), enter the correct option for every question. Check the question count matches your paper before saving — a key shorter than the paper silently scores the extra questions as unanswered.

4. Save and attach to your batch

Save the key and attach it when creating your next batch. All booklet codes are evaluated together in one run — you do not process Set A and Set B separately.

Working with four booklet codes

  • Create one key entry per code in the same answer key record — not four separate keys to juggle.
  • Double-check that each code's key actually matches its booklet: the classic mistake is pasting Set B's key under Set A.
  • For repeated test series (weekly mocks with the same paper pattern), reuse the saved key and only edit what changed.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Key shorter than the paper — remaining questions score as unanswered for every student.
  • Swapped codes — the evaluation is mathematically perfect and completely wrong. Always sanity-check one known student's sheet after the first run.
  • Negative marking rules — confirm the marking scheme matches your exam before publishing results.
