Download and print blank OMR sheets

Before you can check OMR sheets, you need sheets that the pipeline can read — correct layout, sharp bubbles and visible alignment markers. This tutorial covers downloading blank OMR sheet templates and printing them without breaking what the scanner needs.

Before you start

• A printer (laser is ideal — inkjet smudging can blur bubbles).
• Plain A4 paper, standard 70–80 GSM.
• Your exam's requirements: number of questions, booklet codes, roll-number length.

Steps

1. Open the sheet downloads page

Sign in and go to the blank OMR sheet downloads section from the dashboard.

2. Choose the sheet template

Pick the template matching your exam — number of questions, booklet codes and roll-number digits. If your exam has four booklet codes (A, B, C, D), make sure the sheet carries the code row that students must fill.

3. Download the PDF

Download the blank sheet PDF at 100% scale. In the print dialog, turn off "fit to page" / "shrink to fit" — scaling changes the geometry that bubble detection relies on.

4. Print and verify a test page

Print a single test copy first and check it:

• Alignment markers are present, sharp and not cut off at the edges.
• Bubbles are complete circles, not pale or filled-in by smudging.
• Nothing is shifted or cropped near the page margins.

Only after the test copy passes, print the full batch.

Printing rules that keep scans clean

• Never rescale. 100% scale, actual size, every time.
• One sheet per page. Duplex (back-to-back) printing puts ink on the reverse — use single-side printing for exam sheets.
• Keep markers clean. Do not staple through markers or stamp over bubbles.
• Consistent printer. Mixing printouts from different printers in one batch can shift geometry — keep one printer per exam if possible.
