Steps

1. Open Adobe Scan and start a new scan

Open the app and tap the camera icon. Hold the phone directly above the sheet — not at an angle.

2. Capture each sheet flat and full-frame

Lay the sheet flat, keep all four corners inside the frame, and let auto-capture fire — or tap the shutter. One sheet per page.

3. Check each preview before moving on

Open the captured page preview. All corners visible, page straight, bubbles sharp, no shadow bands. Re-shoot immediately if anything is off.

4. Save the PDF and upload to CheckOMR

When all sheets are captured, save the PDF, share it to yourself or your drive, then upload it as a batch in CheckOMR.

Before you start

  • Filled OMR sheets, collected in order.
  • A table near even light (a window's side-light or a single overhead tube light causes shadows).
  • Adobe Scan (free) installed and signed in.

Steps

1. Open Adobe Scan and start a new scan

Open the app and tap the camera icon. Hold the phone directly above the sheet — not at an angle. A tilted photo puts the alignment markers where the system can't find them.

2. Capture each sheet flat and full-frame

Lay the sheet flat on the table and press it down so it cannot curl. Keep all four corners inside the frame — the small printed markers near the edges are what make your phone photo read like a scanner. Let Adobe Scan's auto-capture fire when the page fills the frame, or tap the shutter yourself. One sheet per page; do not let two sheets overlap.

3. Check each preview before moving on

Tap the page thumbnail and look for four things: all four corners visible, page straight, bubbles sharp (no motion blur), no shadow band or glare across the bubbles. Any problem — re-shoot that page right now, while the sheet is still on the table. Fixing it later means finding the paper again.

4. Save the PDF and upload to CheckOMR

When every sheet is captured, tap Save PDF. Share the file to yourself (WhatsApp "message yourself", Google Drive, or email), then open CheckOMR in your browser, create a new batch, and upload the PDF.

Settings and habits that matter

  • Flash off. Flash creates a hot glare spot that washes out bubbles. Even room light beats flash.
  • Clean the camera lens. A pocket-smudged lens softens the whole page — wipe it once before a batch.
  • Keep one exam room per PDF if the stack is huge — several PDFs can go into the same batch.
  • Scan soon after the test. Sheets sitting in a pile curl; flat sheets scan best.
