3. Sheet not flat. A curled or bent page curves the bubbles, and curved bubbles read poorly. Fix: lay the sheet flat on a table and press it down before scanning.

4. Corners cut out of the photo. If the page edges are outside the frame, the alignment markers on them are missing too. Fix: keep all four corners inside the frame — the small printed markers near the edges are what the system uses to read your scan accurately.

5. Tilted or blurred capture. A quick, angled snap is the most common cause on mobile. Fix: hold the phone parallel to the sheet, steady, directly above the page — and tap, don't rush.

6. Two sheets (or a finger) in one photo. Overlapping pages and stray fingers both confuse the reading. Fix: one sheet per photo, fingers clear of the page.

7. Bubbles filled too lightly. The sheet scans fine but a pale bubble reads as empty. Fix: tell students to fill bubbles completely and darkly with a blue or black ballpoint pen — this one instruction fixes more "wrong score" complaints than anything else.
